Hi there, I'm Vesz'aun Auvryath, which I'm sure one can guess by my username.

The person who should be the one and only Vesz'aun Auvryath.

The one who's both flattered and irked by the fact that one of the gentlemen running this show has stolen my name and my quotes straight off of my webpage and put them to their own use on the Candlekeep boards. (Not entirely true, whomever amongst you that the criminal may be did omit any references to Xull'rae from the information stolen)

More irked than flattered at the moment, I must admit.

To the rest of you, who aren't responsible, a fine how d'ya do to ya.

I don't wish to address this to everyone here, but it seems to be my only resort until such time as I find out the specific culprit or culprits.

I checked out your... 'page' and I'm sorry to say I did not find the quotes and stuff you claimed stolen. Would you mind giving me a precise link, since it does seem as if your accusing somebody without proof.

This has turned into a mess. I did not think such a small issue of taking (in some eyes stealing) information would become so huge.

I first noticed this site a few months ago, and later when people from this site signed our guestbook, I thought cool, more fans. As I went to this site, I noticed almost everything was copied from us that pertained to drow or Vhaeraun.

Proof is in the inner sactum..the tomb of shadow..links underlined in red such as dark mask masked traitor..link back to our site.

If you need more proof well on the links page, the drow in deph, menzo and others come copied dorectly from us as well.

This is a minor issue and can be resolved by linkinking back to us, givising us credit, and we will link you back as well.

Now other issues:

Your tavern menu is directly taken from my hard work on the vengeful weave inn that took me months, to put up..arrange and look nice. The content belongs to Mike here (vesz) and his buddy dave from an old campaign.

If it's truly necessary I can mail a copy of the booklet that they made on the Blue Cow inn. I obtained permission from Mike to use it for the vengeful weave inn..the site can be found here to view:

To fix this on your taven thread, give your source where you obtained the menu from, and link back to our inn. Our inn is our design and is meant to be a fun page but be considerate and do not pass off info as your own when it is not.

Now for the major issue:
Vesz'aun here is upset, and when he is upset, like so many humans get, he gets insultive. Forgive him, but he and I designed him, he is a character flaw - jealous lover for my character Xull'rae.

His quote is as follows:

Now you said you want proof. Alright To view his extensive info you have to register for the candlekeep forum. However I think there is no true need to as if you go to this link, the proof is right there by looking at the User name and looking at his post, the quote is attached like a signature.

If you steal need more proof that he seems to be one of yours..well...See where it says "posted" Those lil icons..the one in the middle with the paper with the house in front is his home page and links directly to this Chosen of Vhaeraun site.

I don't want this to be blown out of porportion howver stealing ones character in all but picture is rude, hurtful and unimaginitive, especially when someone just took it and is literally passing it off as his own character WITHOUT permission. (Which at this point he will never get anyway.

I don't think anything can be done about his names in the forums..however he needs AND SHOULD give credit to the character concept to Mike and STOP saying he is Vesz'aun aka the "other dude with the long name"

Ezindir the dark is on the candlekeep forums was replying to his post..he too comes from this site..SO proof is already there and no one has spoken up?

Veszaun is an aol name as well as AIM, has been since 2001. Something needs to be done and this stealing of characters has to stop!

We have let the site info slide for months, but if this bandwithing turns out to be true when I get my bank statement and I'm paying surchages, I will be very very upset. I PAY for all the links I have provided that pertain rpg/drowcampaign. For now I will let it go as I have no evidence your slight bandwithing is costing me extra. However if it does, it will become a legal issue, your site is free, mine is not, I do not profit from it, and therefore I loose money each month for maintaing my site. The information is free to share, luckily you didn't stal graphics as well..but midi music is still bandwithing if you linked to us instead of uploading it to your own server.

Hopefully my long post has valid points, and something will be done. For now I will see if I can keep Mike quiet while the information is digested and a decision can be made.

I don't think I was being bull-headed, I just asked if it was possible you could give me sources, since the matter of all this grand stuff being stoled intrigued me.

I am not the owner of the site, have merely just got here, and I do not think I am the right target of flaming. I was being polite, and though you might be offended, I didn't do it, and I don't wanna take the garbage.

I have no shame in saying I am Ezindir, and I really hope you are not offended by me calling him the other dude with the long name as I did not know that it was a charcter and I just had some fun with the "thief".

And I see we you are frustradet, and you have all reasons to be to, but you can't just go and blame everyone at this forum since mostly people here are just members at the forum adn do not know where the information come from.

I agree with you. Vesz just needs to cool down. As for me I'm not blaming anyone except the person who took his name.

I want to make that clear that I'm not mad at the innocents here..only those that used names and things from our site without giving credit.

I cannot speak for Vesz as he is never level headed when upset.

However, we came here to address everyone as a whole since no one has come forward on who stole the concept

I have hopes that this can be resolved without anymore bashing from Vesz and I thank those that already have spoken up, it is not my intention to spread anger or hate..I just want this matter fixed and behind us.

I have no problem with us linking to each other but someone should give credit where credit is due.

It takes no time at all to copy and paste something but it takes years to put the information up by hand like we have done with our site and it's very irritating to see our hard work displayed so effortlessly with no word or email asking for permission..it's about respect and principle of others work.

Alright, I'm a prick, for lack of a better word, when I'm upset. So perhaps some of my posts were harsher than I meant them to be, and apparently I was not clear enough in the fact that I didn't mean to address everyone here with equal harshness. It was only meant for the guilty party.

For that much, I do offer up an apology, and I have gone back and edited and deleted as needed to remove the words and posts I threw out there which others perceived as bashing and flaming.

The copying and bandwidthing issues as a whole between this site and ours will be addressed directly to the webmaster here, that being Vhaeraun from what I gather, from this point forward, so long as he doesn't ignore our attempts to contact him via e-mail and/or AIM.

As for the copying of my character's name and quotes, I'm still very upset about that, and it was made moreso by the perceived mocking in the Candlekeep boards. Its reprehensible, and I still can't grasp why someone wouldn't think or be able to simply change the name.

As for why I was upset with Erihanu's reply after he first looked at my 'page', as he put it, easy enough to understand looking at it from my point of view. If someone did go to the Candlekeep boards and look, and then summarily viewed my page, its blatantly obvious as to what text we're talking about. Which would mean again that there would be perceived mocking. Apparently, miscommunication has occured on both sides. Quite unfortunate. Hopefully that won't be the case anymore.

At any rate, I'm done with any sort of bashing now, and am going to make a sammich. Perhaps now we can all rectify this in an amiable enough manner.

I am truly sorry for the mocking I posted in Candlekeep, but as I said I did not know that it was a character, and I think the one who stole the name should tell about it and appolegiese.

I also wonder where Vhaeraun are? I think you should talk to these gents. and appolegise if what they say are true.
